Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a sexual assault in Banbury in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A 19-year-old woman was walking in Sinclair Avenue, in Ruscote, at about 5am when she was attacked by a man.
Police today described him as white, in his mid-20s, about 6ft, slim with dark hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Matt Bick said: “Fortunately, the woman managed to fight off her attacker.
“I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Banbury in the early hours of yesterday morning and saw a man matching this description to contact police immediately.
“I would like to reassure the public we have a team of detectives working on the investigation to identify the person responsible.”
