A former BBC Oxford volunteer-turned-stockbroker has been found dead at the bottom of an eight-storey restaurant in London.

Anjool Malde, who worked for the radio station between 2005 and 2006 during his time as a student at Oxford University, was due to celebrate his 25th birthday tomorrow.

The keen entrepreneur, who graduated from St Peter’s College with a degree in geography aged just 20, had co-founded AlphaParties which organised events for young professionals in London.

Mr Anjool, who had worked as a stockbroker for Deutsche Bank since August 2005, left his office early on Friday afternoon due to a pending “IT inquiry” but was due to return to work this week.

He fell to his death on Sunday from the Coq d'Argent restaurant in the City of London.

A company spokesman said: “We are deeply saddened by our colleague’s death and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time.”

During his time at BBC Oxford he worked on the Download music programme as a volunteer contributor and interviewed stars including former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

He was also active in student media and was a member of a number of university societies.

Police are investigating the incident but his death is not being treated as suspicious.
