A man from Kidlington was arrested yesterday on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
The 28-year-old man has been released on bail until August 4.
The arrest relates to an incident that happened last night when police received a report at 10.44pm to say that a man was walking along the Banbury Road with what is believed to be a samurai sword.
