ONLOOKERS may have thought actress Liz Hurley had landed herself a new job at Bicester Village.

But she was at the designer outlet shopping centre to open her first beach boutique.

She spent several hours behind the counter serving shoppers and signing autographs.

Flanked by two models wearing the beachwear she designed, Ms Hurley cut a ribbon to the store declare the Elizabeth Hurley Beach Boutique officially open.

Shaped like a beach hut, the shop is a central feature among other designer stores at the centre, off Pingle Drive.

Ms Hurley, who lives in Gloucestershire, said: “My friends and I are huge fans of Bicester Village and I am thrilled to be opening my first worldwide boutique here.

“I hope my beach hut will be a huge success and the first of many others.

“As well as stocking heaps of my own beachwear for adults and kids, I will also have Philip Treacy sun hats and Cutler & Gross sunglasses.”

Takings from the sale of a pink bikini and sarong, which were sold exclusively on launch day, were donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
