Oxford author Iain Pears hit the bestseller lists seven years ago with the literary art detective novel An Instance of the Fingerpost. HIs latest novel, Stone’s Fall, to be published in May, is hailed as a ‘triumphant return’. He introduced it at the Oxford Literary Festival on Tuesday.
