Two men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a cyclist was attacked in North Oxford earlier today.
Shortly after 2.30am, the male cyclist was approached by three men outside the Carphone Warehouse in Banbury Road, Summertown, who tried to rob him.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Rebecca Webber said the victim suffered cuts and grazes to his head and face but it is not yet known if any weapons were used in the assault.
Following the attack the cyclist ran home, and police were alerted.
The area around the shop was then cordoned off and later two men were arrested who are now in custody.
