THE message is loud and clear — attempt a robbery in Oxford at your peril.
We have reported on several have-a-go-heroes recently and on Monday night another administered some rough justice to a would-be robber.
Tony Surman was taking a shortcut home when an attacker grabbed and punched him, demanding money.
But it was the hooded robber who was left bruised and battered when Mr Surman thumped the assailant twice, leaving him stunned on the ground.
Good on you, Sir. And to the robber, we hope it hurt.
