Burglars who tried to break into a supermarket in Witney fled empty-handed after triggering an alarm.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a glass door was smashed at Tesco Express, in Cogges Hill Road, at 4am on Saturday.
Two of the raiders were dressed in black and a third man is believed to have been waiting outside.
Det Sgt Craig Kirby said: “I appeal to anyone who may have been in this area of Witney in the early hours of Saturday, and saw three men either running away down Cogges Hill, or leaving in a car, to contact police immediately."
