An elderly woman foiled an attempted burglary at her home in Cumnor.
The 84-year-old grew suspicious of two men who knocked on her door in Robsart Place posing as water officials.
She allowed them in, but then went to get her son, who lives nearby, who forced the men out.
They did not take anything.
One of the men was described as white and wore a dark jacket and a dark baseball cap.
The incident happened on Wednesday, January 7, at 5.25pm.
