Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found hanged outside a house in Oxford.
Police officers were called to the house in Clive Road, Cowley, at 9.50pm yesterday.
The man was found outside the house and was treated by ambulance staff.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he was pronounced dead at 10pm.
So far police have not yet revealed the precise details of how the man died.
Victoria Brandon, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said the victim had not yet been formally identified.
Det Chief Insp Joe Kidman, who is leading the investigation, said: “The circumstances of the man’s death are unclear and I am interested in hearing from anyone who may have information about the events in Clive Road yesterday evening.
“A post mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death is expected to take place today.”
Two men, aged 30 and 35, from Cowley, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
They are currently in police custody.
