The Rev John Fenton, former Canon of Christ Church between 1978 and 1991, has died, aged 87.
Mr Fenton died at the Churchill Hospital in Headington after suffering a stroke on Saturday.
His funeral will take place at Christ Church on Friday, January 9, at 11.30am.
Anyone who knew Mr Fenton is welcome to attend as there is no memorial service planned.
