A robber crept into the storeroom of an Oxford off licence and stole cash and cigarettes.
Two men went into Threshers, in Old High Street, Headington, between 2pm and 2.30pm yesterday.
One of them distracted a 23-year-old member of staff while the second went unnoticed into the back of the store.
No weapon was used and police are not linking it with the series of armed robberies in Oxford and across the county.
Police described the men as white and aged between 25 and 35 years old.
One of them was about 6ft 4ins tall, wearing a white grubby baseball cap, black padded jacket and jeans, while the second man was about 6ft 2ins, wearing similar clothing.
Det Con Claire Routledge, investigating the incident, said: βAn older man was also in the shop near to the time of the incident. If this was you please get in touch as you may be able to assist our investigation.β
