A taxi driver accused of sexually assaulting two women passengers in his cab was tonight facing a retrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict.

The jury of six men and five women was discharged after failing to decide whether Baber Khan, 30, of Royal Cars, attacked the two women in his Toyota Avensis.

Khan, of Dashwood Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, denied two charges of sexual assault during the three-day trial at Oxford Crown Court.

Kevin Barry, prosecuting, said a decision would be reached within seven days over whether to hold a retrial.

Khan was given unconditional bail pending the decision.
