David Van Day said he was "disappointed" not to be in the 'I'm A Celebrity.

Get Me Out Of Here!' final.

The 52-year-old singer was voted off the show last night (04.12.08) and despite insisting he didn't have a "game plan", claimed: "My work here is done."

He said: "Of course I'm disappointed. It's been a real rollercoaster for me.

I've gone hoarse I chatted so much.

"But I think my work there was finished. They don't need me interfering and messing with their minds."

David - who branded finalists Joe Swash, George Takei and Martina Navratilova "three nice guys" - insisted he hadn't manipulated other contestants and said it was "easy" to irritate glamour model Nicola McLean, who he repeatedly clashed with on the show.

He added: "I was real, I just reacted to people. Nicola gave me loads of currency. When she did something I just reacted to her.

"I wound her up to show people what she was like. She made it easy for me and helped me stay in so long."

He was described by his fellow contestants as "out for himself", "a snake in the grass" and "lazy" yet insisted he had done nothing wrong.

He explained: "I did say before I went in that I wasn't going to take any nonsense and I stuck to my guns."

David tipped former 'EastEnders' star Joe to win tonight's (05.12.08) final, before being reunited with his daughters Amber and Olivia.

Christopher Biggins has tipped Martina Navratilova to win 'I'm A Celebrity.

Get Me Out Of Here!'.

The panto star - who won last year's show - says that although former 'EastEnders' actor Joe Swash is expected to win, he has hopes for the tennis legend taking his crown.

He said: "Joe is obviously the favourite but I think Martina could be a contender. I'd have been thrilled to be in the jungle with her."

The 59-year-old star also expressed relief over the eviction of David Van Day, who left the show last night (04.12.08).

He added: "David is pretty vile, untalented and desperate - all those features had seen him through."

Meanwhile, Janice Dickinson - who was second in the last series - has claimed voting was rigged to boost Biggins' profile.

She said: "It was totally fixed! I heard afterwards that I had really won but they gave it to Biggins because he was meant to be getting his own talk show. They need to recount those votes from last year because I believe I won."
