First Great Western trains from Oxford to London Paddington were taking extra passengers this morning following a death at High Wycombe.

Chiltern Railways passengers are experiencing delays of about 40 minutes between Princes Risborough and London Marylebone due to the incident.

Passengers travelling from Birmingham or Warwick Parkway to Marylebone are being advised to travel to Leamington Spa or Banbury for connecting Cross Country services to Oxford, and then change at Oxford for connecting First Great Western services to London Paddington.

Passengers travelling from Bicester North, Haddenham and Thame Parkway and Princes Risborough to London Marylebone are advised to stay with Chiltern services, which are being diverted via Aylesbury to Marylebone.

A statement on the Chiltern Railways website apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the disruption.
