While attending the Service of Remembrance in St Giles, Oxford, I was shocked to see, during the two-minute silence, a woman walk by with her bicycle in front of the crowd.
I was absolutely amazed and disgusted that she had the audacity or lack of respect to disturb us.
I asked a policeman if it would be possible to prevent other people walking through St Giles during the service, but was told it was a public highway.
Yet they seem to be able to close Magdalen Bridge on May Morning!
If the woman concerned reads this letter – shame on you!
