The assistant manager of Wallingford Day Centre has appealed for help after a hit-and-run crash at West Hagbourne.

Kerry Coleman, 33, of York Road, West Hagbourne, said she and another driver collided in Foxglove Lane, West Hagb-ourne, at 3.30pm on Friday, November 21, and her car was badly damaged.

Ms Coleman said the other motorist drove off after the crash and she hoped someone would come forward and help police trace the other car.

She said: “He looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and drove off without even seeing if I was hurt.

“I was left very shocked to see someone behave like that.

“A woman driving behind me came over and helped get me out of the car, called the police and an ambulance.

“Fortunately, I did not have to go to hospital, but I was so traumatised I couldn’t even get my phone out of my bag.”

Her Fiat Seicento was damaged on the driver’s side, but the other car, a blue vehicle which she thought was probably a Fiesta, had its offside front light and housing damaged.

Ms Coleman said: “I thought his behaviour was disgusting.

“We have given as many details as possible to the police.”

Ms Coleman said: “I am sure he must be local — West Hagbourne is not the sort of place that is on any main route.”

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “The incident has been reported to us and we are investigating.

“The driver should have stopped to see if anyone was hurt. We take hit-and-run cases like this very seriously.”
