I do wish John Tanner and Jean Fooks used the same logic regarding rubbish collections.
Jean ‘educated’ me by responding to a previous letter, where I suggested fortnightly collections would release money to spend elsewhere, by telling me that there was no additional money, because this was spent on different types of collections.
John, however, while chastising Tory plans to reintroduce weekly collections (October 3), suggests there would be £1,000,000 plus by reverting, that he would rather spend elsewhere.
