A teenager is believed to have been shot by an air pistol in Oxford today.
At about 2.30am, a 19-year-old man was attacked by two men at the crematorium in Bayswater Road, Barton.
The attackers then drove away in a red old-style BMW.
The man is receiving treatment at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Investigating officer Det Sgt Darren Cartwright, of Thames Valley Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who might have any information about the incident to contact me.
“The man has a fractured elbow and an eye injury which we think could have been caused by an air pistol, but we still need to find out exactly what happened.
“I urge anyone who might have seen the red BMW or any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.”
Contact Det Sgt Cartwright on 08458 505505 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
