Police are appealing for a driver who left the scene of a collision on the A34.

At about6.35pm on Friday, three cars collided on the A34 between Peartree roundabout and the Kidlington junction.

The driver of a silver Volvo was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with minor injuries while the driver of a white Vauxhall Cavalier was unharmed.

After getting out of his car and speaking to people at the scene, the man who was driving the third vehicle – a small silver car – got back in his car and carried on.

PC Eddie Hulme, of Abingdon Roads Policing department, said: “It was unusual for the driver to leave in this way, but he may be completely innocent of any crime. However, to ascertain what has gone on it is vital we speak to this man.

“If anyone knows who he may be – the car was a small French car such as a Clio or Peugeot 106 and will now have heavy damage – please urge him to get in touch or contact us yourself.”

PC Hulme can be contacted via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
