Josh Roche, the president of the Oxford Union debating society, has yet to hear if he will be punished following a disciplinary hearing.
Mr Roche appeared before the Union’s senior disciplinary committee on Sunday to answer accusations that he misled members into believing the actor Jude Law and Ukrainian president Viktor Yushchenko had been booked to speak.
Today, Union press officer Matthew Holehouse said the committee was still considering evidence and would take a couple of days to decide its findings.
