Scores of the world’s most dedicated music fans walked through Oxford today as part of a 400km (248 miles) journey to the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The 100 fans – from 10 different countries – were completing the latest leg of the Sony Ericsson FanWalk, a nine-day trek from London to Liverpool, designed to test diehard music fans.
The group are making several stops along the way and visited Oxford in homage to the city’s bands Radiohead and Supergrass.
MTV Spokesman Louise Wilson said: “The fans have been participating in all kinds of wacky events along the way. Once they reach Liverpool, the overall champion will win the chance to present an award live on stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards.”
The fans are due to arrive in Liverpool on Thursday.
