The website of Banbury motorsport company Prodrive is hosting an auction of rare and unusual rally memorabilia to raise money for the McRae Vision charities.

The items range from one of the last pieces of memorabilia signed by Colin McRae to an original Rothmans Rally jacket signed by the competitors in the McRae Stages and genuine parts from the Subaru World Rally Car.

Many of the items have been donated by the McRae family and Nicky Grist.

The auction closes on October 17 and all the items can be found and bid for at www.prodrive.com

McRae died aged 39 in a helicopter crash in September 2007 near his home in Scotland. Two children, including his five-year-old son, also died in the crash.

McRae became Britain's first World Rally champion in 1995. He was one of the country's most successful sportsmen, achieving 25 wins in World Rally events and 42 podium places.
