Having read the recently released figures by the Home Office showing the hours a policeman spends on patrol (one hour, 39 minutes per 12-hour shift), may I say how wonderfully reassuring it has been to see so many policemen and vehicles on the city centre streets this summer?
Let us hope they continue to film many more episodes of Lewis here in future.
