Two people have been evicted from Foresters Tower, in Wood Farm, Oxford, after complaints they threw soiled nappies, rubbish, and faeces from their 12th floor flat.

Oxford City Council said it had received numerous complaints about the behaviour of Reggie Smith, 20, and Stella Moore, 18, since they moved in to the tower block in February.

These included complaints about noise from a party, shouting and arguing, and a dog being kept, contrary to council rules.

There were also complaints about items, including soiled nappies, coins, rubbish and human and animal faeces being thrown from their balcony.

Mr Smith and Ms Moore were asked to come in to see representatives from the council at its Horspath Road offices, but failed to do so on three occasions.

The pair were served a notice to quit and, after they failed to attend court, the council was granted full possession.

They were evicted on Tuesday, October 7.

Ed Turner, housing board member on the council, said: "Eviction is a last resort, when all other avenues have failed.

"However, the fact is that in this case, these people were making the lives of their neighbours an absolute misery and the council was right to step in and put an end to it."
