A handbag has been stolen belonging to the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Susanna Pressel.
Police said a burglar crept into the Lord Mayor's Parlour in Oxford Town Hall, St Aldates, shortly before 9pm yesterday.
The orange handbag contained an address book, diary, two pairs of spectacles and a cardigan.
Police are investigating the break-in.
