IT would be great if the U's can hang on to on-loan Halifax Town midfielder Martin Foster after his outstanding performance against Cambridge United on Saturday.
I thought he was one of Halifax's best players when they visited the Kassam for the recent FA Trophy game and it bodes well for United if we can keep him.
I had to miss the Cambridge game as I was visiting my father in hospital. Life is more important than football.
So I had to rely on the Oxford Mail for Saturday's match analysis. I was supposed to get regular updates from a mate who was at the game, but he forgot! I should not have bean surprised as his reliability can be a bit dodgy.
I was in the same car as him for the trip to Weymouth when he randomly decided to take us on a tour of the country lanes rather than go directly to the ground as suggested on the map.
Stuart Beavon managed to get there okay, although we wished he probably hadn't as he's scored twice in his last two games.
We'll be okay with Grebis. Yeah, right. He can't even get in the team!
If he was decent surely Gary Johnson (former Latvia boss and now Bristol City manager) would have brought him over to England.
I was going to get my Canadian housemate who saw the Rushden shambles, to update me, but he was strangely unavailable for the game!
