The tickets are printed, the posters are out, rehearsals continue and the production dates for Ladies’ Day get ever nearer. Just to remind readers, they are
April 24th, 25th and 26th at Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor Village Hall, 7.30pm.
Tickets are £7 each and are available from Southmoor village shops or call 01865 820375 and ask for Betty.
Props are being sought frantically and costumes begged or borrowed. Some of the members have worked very hard on the set and the whole thing is now beginning to come together. This is one of those plays you could sit through more than once and I for one am looking forward to seeing the completed product.

Each year the local primary school, John Blandy, puts on what they call the Boffin’s Quiz. The school hall is filled with quiz teams made up from the clubs and organisations within the village or just groups of friends. This has been going on for many a year and it is a very pleasant evening and raises money for the school. Way over twenty teams took part last Friday night and questions over a myriad of topics came thick and fast. Modesty forbids the drama group from saying which team won but I imagine you can guess. Smug or what?
I thought I would introduce into my blog each week a thought for the week. So here’s the first one: A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from M&S.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337 and a man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items. True or what? Think on.
