Well what a glorious day. The sun is shining, it’s a bank holiday weekend, what more could you ask for? Well quite a lot actually starting with an instant cure for hangovers.
Anyway feeling chirpy this morning I thought what better time to write the latest blog. One of my five readers keeps asking me if I’ve done it yet so here it is.

Now Tuesday night found us reading several plays up for a decision on its possibilities as a November production. Time is moving apace so we need to make a decision as rehearsals start next week!
We started reading an Alan Ayckbourn that pretty soon got dismissed and then the Ray Cooney farce Caught in the Net. This is the sequel to Run for your Wife a very funny piece we staged some ten plus years ago.
The general feeling seemed to be positive on the potential of this play. There were some dissenters of course but it could be the one subject to being able to cast it.
I saw Caught in the Net at the Theatre Royal in Windsor last year and it is a typical Ray Cooney comedy but these are always fun to be in and the audience always like them.
The social side of things is a bit in limbo I guess due to the time of year. The treasure hunt is in jeopardy (last year in was Eynsham-Ha!) and the weekend away is almost finalised we just need a venue and a date!-Ha again!
A friend of mine who was away on business had a call from his wife to say she was so miserable without him it was almost like having him there. This was probably in response to the fact they had recently attended a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication. Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,
"It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes." he said, and then addressed Tom.
"Can you name your wife's favourite flower?"
Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's Homepride, isn't it?
