The developers of a derelict public lavatory block have announced that its conversion is nearly complete, and that soon it will be put onto the market as office space.
Surprisingly, though, I learn that the city council turned down the developers' initial plans to turn the block in Cripley Road, Oxford, behind Mick's cafe, into a one bedroom residence, saying they wanted it to be used for business purposes.
I think this shows a horrible lack of imagination by the council. Surely it would have made a lovely little cottage for someone?
