Welcome to The Page Turner.
Oxford is arguably the country's books capital, and once you are in the city centre there is a bookseller on almost every corner.
After living in Oxfordshire for the past 10 years, I have become well and truly addicted to books, and there is no prospect of me giving them up.
I'm sure there are worse addictions, but if I keep collecting them at the same rate I'm going to have to build an extension.
Every week, I plan to talk to the movers and shakers in Oxford's books trade, and find out what is flying off the shelves.
I'll be visiting second-hand book stores and the independents as well as the chain stores, to put some of Oxford's less well-known booksellers on the map.
If you have just finished a great book, then let me know, and post a few lines about why you thought it was such a good read.
If you've been on holiday — it doesn't matter if it was Barnsley or Barcelona — and you discovered an interesting book shop down a back street, then give me a shout.
Or perhaps you are in a lively book group that you want people to know about.
It's a broad brief, but I'm hoping to explore parts of this literary city that ordinary books pages haven't got time to reach.
If you have got a moment, then send in your top five reads with your name, age, address and contact number and we will publish a selection on the site.
Even the most devoted bookworms need to take a break between chapters, so why not log on to Talking Books, and let me know what's a hot read, and what's not?
Next time, I'll be talking to Charlie Hayes, events manager at Borders Bookshop, about the high-profile authors on their way to Oxford.
