Good news has been coming my way this week so it's smiles all round at Tri Chick HQ.
Training is going well and early season fitness tests are showing some promising results. Add to that the fact that yesterday I was given the green light from the consultant at the Nuffield's sports injury clinic to resume full run training (after six injury-plagued months) and you might understand why I'm such a happy little camper.
Oh yes, and I'm off to sunnier climes next week for some warm weather training.
Me, my bike and my boyfriend are off to Lanzarote where it's currently 22 degrees C to swim in the sea, bike for miles and run with the sun - rather than the snow - on our backs.
Having a full week off to train will mean I can put in a good 20 to 25 hours at least, a thought which I'm relishing right now. Sad? Probably. But you'll understand one day if you ever catch the tri bug. It's not your average disease - there just isn't an antidote.
