I'm worried when people start talking about their plans for Wembley - we're not there yet!
I've been watching football to know that nothing is ever that simple.
Let's hope the U's have a good win on Saturday to set us up nicely for the play-offs. Then we'll see what happens after that.
I thought the U's played well on Saturday. Hargreaves and Luke Foster were superb and it's good to see Petts is back on form. The catalyst for Saturday's win was the midfield. Those two plus Martin Foster didn't let Stafford get a look in.
Chris Zebroski did well against their agricultural style of football. He was shoved all over the place by their huge centre backs, but didn't winge once to the referee. He just got on with it.
Talking of the play-offs, I see the first leg is going to be on a Friday night - so that will make it handy to get to, particularly as the U's are likely to face a long journey to possibly Exeter, York, Morecambe or Gravesend. I'm hoping that Oxford have to face a trip to Burton as long as the Marmite munchers sort out their catering.
I was hoping we could get the home leg out of the way first because we seem to perform better away from the Kassam. I suppose I should be grateful we have this chance to go up.
People complain about the play-offs, but our season would be all over by now had the old rules of one club going up applied. The play-offs keep the season alive.
