A couple of things have happened this week that have really wowed me. One I feel is the best pre-empting of a situation I have heard in years, the other could get me a moment of fame on Soccer AM.

The latter first...(is that an oxymoron or something?!)

During the Liverpool game this week, if any reruns are shown of when Aurelio snapped his Achilles, just watch the PSV bloke who tries to put the ball out for a throw-in seconds later. He virtually treads on the ball, falls in a crumpled heap, and has to rely on a teammate to knock the ball out of play.
I have emailed this to Soccer AM for their 3rd eye section - watch this space.

The other - Nassar Hussain take a bow.
In England's dramatic defeat on Wednesday, Hussain (who I have to say has a normal annoying habit of trying to be controversial in order to make some headlines) commented - I think on the first ball of the final over - that in the past he had seen Bopara flick his wrists and flick the ball over the head of the fine leg fielder who was saving a single inside the ring.

Sure enough, the ball came down, Bopara angled his bat, flicked his wrists, and lobbed the fielder for four runs...what a shout...
