'Urgent' search launched for missing 19-year-old girl

Rachel, whose surname has not been released, from Wantage, was last seen today, Thursday, October 22, at around 1.30pm.

The 19-year-old girl has been declared missing and police have shared an 'urgent missing person appeal' to try and trace her.

She is described as a white girl, around 5ft7ins tall of slim build, with brown, wavy hair which is just below shoulder length.

Rachel was last seen wearing blue jogging bottoms, an olive green t-shirt, a dark raincoat and an olive green beanie hat.

She is known to frequent the Steventon and Milton areas of Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police said anyone who sees Rachel is asked to call 999 and to report any information about her whereabouts online through the missing persons portal, quoting investigation reference 43260553430.

Police guidance on missing people states a person will not be in trouble with officers when found, and it is not wasting officers' time to report someone as missing.
