A new £14 million retail destination is set to open with a public launch celebration.

Signal Yard, located at Milton Park in Oxfordshire, will officially open on Wednesday, September 23, between 4pm and 7pm.

The launch event, titled 'Hello Signal Yard,' will introduce visitors to a growing community of independent retailers and hospitality businesses through an evening of complimentary food samples, live music, and family-friendly activities. Free parking will also be available.

Philip Campbell, asset management director for Milton Park at Federated Hermes, said: "Signal Yard represents an exciting new chapter for Milton Park and a significant investment in the experience we offer businesses, their employees, visitors and the wider community.

"As one of the UK's leading science and technology communities, it's important that we continue to create spaces that support collaboration, wellbeing and connection, alongside innovation and business growth.

"Signal Yard brings together an exceptional mix of independent businesses, high-quality public spaces and new opportunities for people to meet, work and unwind.

"As the new social heart of Milton Park, Signal Yard is an important milestone in our 2040 Vision and I'm looking forward to welcoming people on 23 September to celebrate with us."

The event will showcase the destination's £14 million investment into a vibrant social hub and retail centre.

Signal Yard is already home to nine independent retail and hospitality businesses and is designed to serve Milton Park's 280 companies and their employees, visitors and the wider local community.

Visitors will be able to sample food and drink offerings from 1885 Burgers, vegan café Planted Plates, and Day Release by Tap Social Movement.

Popular Thai restaurant Chor Muang will also be participating in the event.

The launch will feature a range of complimentary wellness and lifestyle experiences.

Apollo Pharmacy will provide free health checks and wellbeing advice, while Flex Health Hub will offer free mini massages and tours of their space.

Damira Dental Studios will promote a teeth whitening offer with free consultations for people who book appointments on the day, and The Bros Barbers will provide an exclusive 10 per cent discount.

Milton Post Office will also be open.

Live music and performers, craft workshops, face painting, and other family-friendly entertainment including free drop-in craft workshops, face painting, and more will also be available.

Hello Signal Yard is free to attend and open to everyone but places are limited. Please book via Eventbrite.

Signal Yard forms part of Milton Park’s long-term vision to create a mixed-use destination that supports wellbeing, collaboration, and community alongside business growth.

Set within landscaped public spaces, the development aims to serve the wider Oxfordshire community as well as those working on the park.
