Update as teen charged with stabbing in Oxfordshire village

Thames Valley Police has released a statement after the incident in Radley in June, which left a man hospitalised and was followed by a teenager being charged with grievous bodily harm.

Thomas Quinn, aged 19, of Deacon Way, Banbury, was also charged with one count of possession with a bladed article and first appeared in court on Friday, July 17.

Seven other people were arrested after the suspected stabbing, with one released with no further action, and now the force has revealed no other charges have yet been made.

A spokesperson said today (Friday, August 28): "We can confirm that no one else has been charged at this time."

The relevant incidents occurred at about 9.20pm on Monday, June 15, in Barberi Close/St Nicholas Road in Littlemore, during which a man was approached by a group of males travelling in a blue vehicle and threatened.

The victim was able to leave the scene without injury.

About 10 minutes later, an incident took place in Beckett Drive, Radley, where a group of males travelling in a blue vehicle believed to be linked to the first incident, assaulted another man who sustained a serious injury.

He was treated at hospital and has since been discharged.

Quinn appeared at Oxford Crown Court on July 17. A trial and preparation hearing was listed for September 11, and a pre-trial review was listed for November 13.

A trial is currently scheduled for December 7.
