Emergency services were called to a fire behind a Travellers' site in Oxford.
Flames erupted from a field behind the Redbridge Hollow site late on Thursday night, August 27.
Oxfordshire County Council did not say whether the fire was started deliberately when asked.
It took about two hours to extinguish the blaze.

Oxford city councillor Brad Baines said: "Last night Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at the Redbridge Hollow Travellers' site around 10.30pm.
"The fire involved waste items. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
"The fire service sent three engines from Rewley road and the Slade fire stations and attended the scene for approximately two hours.
"The incident has been reported to the Environment Agency and to local partners.
"Residents are reminded not to light fires, or open flames, in the countryside or other open spaces, including parks and wooded areas.
"If you spot signs of a fire, call 999 immediately."
Oxfordshire County Council's spokesman said: "[Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue] sent three crews to deal with a fire in the open at Redbridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road.
"Call came in at 10.06pm. They were able to leave the scene at midnight."
On Tuesday, emergency services launched an arson probe into a nearby fire at a field near Redbridge park and ride.
Part of Abingdon Road, off the A34 Eastern Bypass, was closed, temporarily suspending buses from using the stop.
Anna Railton, Labour deputy leader at Oxford City Council, told this paper that the council-owned site had been flagged as a fire risk and the grass should be cut. But her response was no.
