The owner of a new Indian restaurant in an Oxfordshire village said he 'can't wait to welcome' customers as it opens its doors for the first time today.
Masoom's Indian Kitchen and Bar will open in Church Street, Bodicote, near Banbury, at 4pm on Wednesday, August 26.
The new owner, Mijan Ahmed, 44, is bringing the experience he gained working in the renowned kitchens of Malik's in Cookham, the owner of which is his cousin, and from owning and running a restaurant in Goring since 2005.
A statement from the team behind the new venture said: "After months of hard work, preparation and excitement, the moment has finally arrived.
"We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors and introduce you to Masoom’s — delicious Indian cuisine, a beautiful new setting, a fully stocked bar and a warm welcome from our team.
"Tables are already being booked, so we strongly recommend getting your reservation in early to secure your table.
"Thank you for all the incredible support leading up to our opening. We’re finally ready, and we cannot wait to welcome you all."
Masoom's takes the place of The Spice Room, which closed after it was handed a zero star hygiene rating by Cherwell District Council in 2022.
Mr Ahmed said he is 'delighted' at the grand opening and described the restaurant as a 'brand new chapter'.
