Reform UK - police investigate voter over 'racist abuse'

Police continue to investigate an incident in which a Reform UK voter "shouted" in the face of a mum.

A woman on the school run with her child in Banbury was left "extremely upset" after the man shouted "vote Reform" in her face, police have said.

The woman was walking to school with her son on Middleton Road at about 8.30am on Friday, May 8, when she was faced with a man stood on the pavement.

Police said the man "got in the victim's face" and shouted "vote Reform, get all these foreigners out of our country".

Thames Valley Police is investigating the event as a racially aggravated public order incident.

In an update, a police spokeswoman said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing, no arrests have been made at the current time."

Police constable Sean Allwood, based at Banbury police station, said: “This incident left the woman and her son feeling extremely upset.

"We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and ask them to come forward.”
