Boris Johnson, 62, has been ridiculed for 'learning of a dismissal' on TV.
Members of the public have reacted after former minister and Plymouth Moor View MP Johnny Mercer, revealed how he was sacked by the former prime minister.
Mr Johnson, who lives just outside of Wallingford with his family, was leader of the country between 2019 and 2022, with his tenure seeing the UK's withdrawal from the European Union and the Covid-19 pandemic.

During it Mr Mercer was parliamentary under-secretary of state for defence people and veterans and has revealed on the latest Rest is Politics podcast how he lost that role in 2021.
He said he refused to resign and that he was told he had been sacked via text after a meeting with the chief whip.
Following that, Mr Mercer said Mr Johnson - who was prime minister at the time - phoned him up to express confusion about the announcement.

Mr Mercer said that the prime minister said to him: "Johnny, what the f*** is going on. It's come up on my TV you've been sacked. What's all this about?"
A year later, Mr Johnson would resign after numerous scandals involving his government including 'Partygate' but not before appointing Mr Mercer minister of state for veteran's affairs.
Although he would lose this position during Liz Truss' ill-fated premiership, he would regain it under Rishi Sunak.
