Jeremy Clarkson is helping int he search for a missing dog near his Cotswolds pub.

The 66-year-old Clarkson’s Farm presenter shared an image of a missing golden spaniel on a car seat.

Mr Clarkson, who lives on his 1.000 acre farm between Chadlington and Chipping Norton, shared an appeal to find the female dog.

His Instagram post said the dog was found between Asthall Leigh and Minster Lovell, not far from The Farmer’s Dog on the A40.

The dog has a pink fabric collar it no tag.

She was handed in to Cogges Vets in Witney but the chip has not registered to identify the owner.

Mr Clarkson is a dog owner himself, with his two red fox Labradors Arya and Sansa, named after Game of Thrones characters, regularly appealing on his farm show.

The former Top Gear host once acted as a midwife to Arya, successfully helping to deliver 11 puppies at Diddly Squat Farm, though one was tragically found dead shortly after.

In the past, he attracted criticism from BBC management for the name of his previous dog Didier Dogba, a pun referencing former Chelsea footballer Didier Drogba.
