A suspension order was originally imposed for a period of six months by a Fitness to Practise Committee panel on August 1, 2024.

This was reviewed on January 22, 2025, and the reviewing panel imposed a further suspension for a period of six months, after which it was again extended by a year in July 2025.

Initially she was suspended for having "insufficient insight".

The July 2025 review repeated the reasons for her initial suspension which included being unable to use the equipment, a lack of knowledge on drug doses and not knowing the best practice for supporting childbirth.

The summary document from last year stated: "The lack of competence relates to a number of fundamental areas of midwifery practice, which occurred over a significant period of time.
