A man, who worked in the Ministry of Defence police force for 20 years, has been jailed for sexually touching a 13-year-old girl.
Daryn Uwins was sentenced for touching a teenage girl's breasts, under and over clothing, at a sentencing hearing at Oxford Crown Court on June 26.
The 47-year-old was found guilty of the offence by a jury in a trial earlier this year.
The court heard that Uwins, of Brands Hill Avenue, High Wycombe, previously had a 20-year career in the police force, training officers for high-speed chases.
The offence he was sentenced for took place in June 2022.
Prosecution barrister Brent Martin read out victim impact statements on behalf of the victim and her mother.
The victim's statement said: "Since the incident, I have experienced trust issues and anger.

"It has affected my safety and wellbeing. Panic attacks make me sick. My health has gone downhill. I'm constantly on alert when out.
"My daily life has changed significantly. I can't be around drunk men. I feel emotional and physical exhaustion.
"The trauma has affected my ability to function day-to-day. My mind is overwhelmed by stress and anxiety.
"I don't feel like I'm the person I was before the incident. I no longer have the sense of safety I once had.
"I have struggled to recover from the trauma which has affected me deeply. Even simple things feel overwhelming."
The victim's mother added: "When this occurred, she was on shut down mode.
"She would have episodes when she would fall to the floor and be unresponsive. She has been diagnosed with PTSD.
"She finds trusting anyone difficult now. She finds herself getting very stressed and emotional."
The court heard that Uwins had one previous conviction when he assaulted his wife.
Mr Martin said: "This has caused severe psychological harm."
In mitigation, Uwins' barrister described his actions as 'utter madness'. The court also heard that Uwins had lost his career and was currently unemployed.
Judge Hassan Khan said: "You put your hand on her shoulder, which made her feel uncomfortable. You repeatedly pulled her towards you when she tried to move.
"You touched her breast inside her clothes. This conduct was deliberate and sexual in nature. You made a comment that you enjoyed it and would get in trouble.
"She was extremely distressed. She suffers with anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks and nightmares.
"You have accepted some responsibility, but not full responsibility. You worked for the MOD police force for 20 years. Prior to the offence, you experienced severe mental health difficulties."
After a lengthy consideration, the judge decided the sentence could not be suspended.
Uwins was jailed for two and a half years.
He was also made the subject of a 10-year restraining order, to not contact the victim.
He was also given a sexual harm prevention order and must comply with notification requirements for an indefinite period.
