A popular Turkish restaurant in Oxford has been named the winner of a category in a prestigious UK awards ceremony celebrating the best of the Turkish cuisine from around the country.
Antep Oxford Kitchen in Cowley Road has been announced as the winner in one of the categories of the fourth annual Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2026.
It was competing against 10 other businesses in the category of 'best value restaurant' ahead of the gala held on June 22 at the Marriott Grosvenor Hotel in London.

The Cowley restaurant took home the top prize in the category, alongside joint winner Nazar Turkish Kitchen and Bar in Cambridge.
MP for Oxford East, Anneliese Dodds, expressed her well-wishes for the Oxford businesses when the finalist shortlist was announced.
In a post on X the MP said: "I am delighted that Antep Kitchen Oxford has been recognised as a Finalist in the Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards.
"This achievement is a testament to their hard work, quality, and contribution to our local community."

Overall, the awards announced 25 winners across 16 categories, including best delivery, best takeaways and restaurants in each region of the UK, best newcomer, chef of the year and best fine dining restaurant.

"Their dedication, resilience, and commitment to quality are what make this industry truly exceptional."
