Woman arrested after 'assault' on Oxford emergency worker

A woman has been arrested after an alleged assault on an Oxford emergency services worker.

Thames Valley Police said that in the early hours of Thursday, June 11, officers rushed to Cowley Road amid reports of an incident.

There, they arrested a woman on suspicion of assault and actual bodily harm on a female emergency worker, with the suspect currently being "dealt with" by the police.

A spokesperson for the force said: "PCs Dollery and Woolley attended a report of a female being assaulted on the Cowley Road in Oxford at around 12.30am this morning

"The officers arrested a female on suspicion of ABH (Actual Bodily Harm) and assault on an emergency worker.

"She is currently being dealt with by local officers."
