People have been left fuming at plans to house 1,250 male migrants near Bicester as some vow to take action in the form of a protest.
The Home Office is looking to use the redundant MoD site located at site A of the Bicester Garrison, located between Piddington and Upper Arncott, as early as the end of 2026.
Outrage has been sparked by the proposal with people living in Bicester and the surrounding area who don't want the camp to go ahead.
Graham Rixon, a resident of Piddington, said: "It's completely inappropriate.

"We're a village of 350 people - there's another village down the road of even less people, and they're going to dump 1,200 people here.
"Most of them probably won't speak the language, so there's going to be communication problems, and as far as I know, no help's been set up for language.
"We haven't had any detail of how it's going to work, so if it does go through, it'll be a mess - inadequate provision has been made.

"We're supposed to live in a democracy, and this is just trying to bypass democracy and get it all done before anyone notices."
Gwen McEwan described the prospect as "frightening" and said: "Why should this village be penalised? Why should we suffer?
"There are people waiting for houses in this country, people on the breadline, and these people get handouts.

"We've got two buses, at 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock on weekdays - our children have to pay to get the bus to school, £300 a term.
"I'm not happy about it. They shouldn't put them in a camp in a rural village.
"If they come here, I won't be paying any council tax."
Chairman of Piddington Parish Council Tim McNally said: "We have young children, we've got elderly people.

"People actually have the comfort to walk at night through the village without consequence."
Officials are currently trying to move people from asylum hotels into other accommodations.
A recent MoD letter has suggested work has already begun at the Bicester site.
Meanwhile, a protest will be held on 11am to 1pm on Sunday, July 12 in Sheep Street, Bicester.
"We want this to be focused on local concerns regarding the use of Site A without consultation, rather than national immigration policy," the organisers said.
"We therefore ask that political allegiances are set aside for the day.
"We have invited representatives from several different parties to speak and we ask that everyone is respectful regardless of how you usually vote.
"The aim is for this to be a peaceful and constructive gathering, and all are welcome.
"Please bring signs and placards, but most importantly, bring your voices."
