A thug, who forced his ex-partner to withdraw evidence against him shortly before a court case, has been jailed.
Lewis Collins, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, June 4.
The 27-year old was sentenced for offences against two ex-partners, in late 2022 and early 2023, and then in November and December last year.
He also admitted he was in breach of a suspended sentence after breaching a restraining order against the second victim last year.
Collins was sentenced for assault causing actual bodily harm, two counts of assault by beating, criminal damage and unlawful entry against the first victim.
He was sentenced for four counts of breaching a restraining order, perverting the course of justice, intentional strangulation and criminal damage against the second victim.
George Joseph, prosecuting, opened the facts in relation to the more recent case.

He told the court that some of the restraining order breaches occurred when Collins was in prison and he would phone the victim.
Some of the instances were consensual, but at times there would be arguments.
Mr Joseph told the court he would often demand money from her and she ended up sending him around £2,500.
Collins also told her he would get people he knew to hurt her and throw acid in her face.
In relation to his conviction last year, he told the victim to not attend court and submit a withdrawal statement. This resulted in multiple counts being withdrawn and Collins only being sentenced for one restraining order breach in November last year.
Just before the court case last year, he contacted the victim and threatened to slash her mother's tyres.
On November 29 last year, when he was out of custody, Collins attacked the victim at a hotel.
On December 1, she went to a supermarket in Faringdon with him and he threatened to punch her head in.
Mr Joseph added that Collins also put his hands round her neck and strangled her. He also damaged her car's windscreen.
Later that day, Collins went to the victim's mother's home and placed items around the home to embarrass and humiliate her.
Victim impact statements were red out on behalf of both women.
The first said: "I felt scared and alone the majority of the time. He would hit out at me and be aggressive.
"I have nightmares and flashbacks of what happened. I don't feel safe in my own home. This has all been a nightmare. I just want to get on with my life."
The second victim's statement said: "I have experienced severe panic attacks. I felt like I couldn't breathe and I felt dizzy.
"I got waves of anxiety coming over me. I felt trapped."
The court heard Collins has 11 previous convictions for 16 offences.
Derek Barry, mitigating, said: "He expresses remorse and accepts his guilt.
"He's still a young man. There were consensual breaches on a number of occasions.
"He has long-standing mental health problems."
Judge Hassan Khan jailed Collins for five years. He was also given 10-year restraining orders against both victims.
