Oxfordshire - Three in court charged with money laundering

A trio have appeared in court, charged with laundering tens of thousands of pounds.

Agha Shirazi, Alireza Rahimipourbafghi and Husna Shirazi all appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, May 28.

They are all charged in relation to suspected money laundering between 2020 and 2025.

Agha Shirazi, 56, of Robsart Place, Cumnor, Rahimipourbafghi, 37, of Fieldside, Abingdon; and Husna Shirazi, 34, also of Fieldside, Abingdon, are charged with acquisition of criminal property, concealing criminal property and acquiring criminal property.

The criminal property in question relates to almost £90,000 and Rolex watches.

None of the defendants entered pleas, but a trial date was set for May 15, 2028 with a time estimate of two weeks.

There will be an application to dismiss the charges for Husna Shirazi in due course.

All three were released on unconditional bail.
