Oxford man accused of breaking alleged victim's jaw

A man in his 20s has denied an attack in Oxford last year and is set to face trial in 2028.

Kaseem Ashraf, of Blenheim Way, Horspath, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday, May 28.

The 27-year-old is charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm without intent in Oxford on July 1 last year.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence.

The court heard the alleged victim is called Muhammed Hussain and that the incident took place in Fern Hill Road and involved a number of people.

The alleged victim is said to have struck his face and suffered two breaks to his jaw.

A trial date was given as April 10, 2028 with a time estimate of three to four days.

Ashraf was released on conditional bail to not contact the complainant.
